Sarah has a broad administrative law practice, with particular expertise in the emergency services sector and public sector governance and integrity matters. Sarah's focus is on providing efficient, practical advice to clients on complex legal issues. Sarah's practice includes advising on:
- Delegations and authorisations of legislative powers, functions and duties
- The exercise of statutory powers and statutory interpretation
- Emergency management and related governance
- Legislative and regulatory review
- Integrity-related issues affecting government and statutory authorities
Sarah joined the VGSO in 2023, following over 15 years' experience as in-house legal counsel in public service and public sector roles and six years in the private sector. Her previous experience includes in-house counsel roles in State Government and statutory authorities where she advised on a broad range of legal issues. Sarah has developed significant expertise in public law matters and is highly regarded for her communication skills and collaborative approach.
