As part of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team at VGSO, Paula advises a range of government clients including Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, the Department of Human Services and the Attorney-General's office. She has also undertaken a secondment to Corrections Victoria. Paula's areas of expertise include personal injury claims, inquests and matters arising under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act and the Serious Sex Offenders (Detention and Supervision) Act. She has instructed counsel in a number of matters of State significance including the 2009 Bushfires Royal Commission, the Inquest into the Death of Tyler Cassidy and Re Percy.
Paula began her career in risk management in the professional services sector at a global accounting firm. She then spent two years as a solicitor at a boutique city firm, primarily practicing in property, leasing and commercial litigation.
