Lauren is an experienced property and commercial lawyer, with a demonstrated history of advising Victorian Departments and statutory agencies on significant projects, transactions and legal issues. 

In her property practice, Lauren advises clients on a wide range of matters including drafting and negotiating strategic transaction documents, leasing transactions, land management obligations, adverse possession, revenue implications of property transactions, Crown land, road law and general property issues. Lauren has provided legal advice and drafted transaction documents on a wide range of projects for the State including education facilities, road and rail infrastructure, machinery of government changes, public developments and affordable housing. Lauren has particular expertise working with Service Victoria, bringing new services and tools within its centralised and accessible system. Lauren also advises on privacy and data protection, legislative reform, procurement, delegations, statutory interpretation, machinery of government changes, and general commercial agreements.

Prior to joining the VGSO, Lauren worked as a lawyer at a boutique private commercial law firm, and completed a summer internship at Native Title Services Victoria (now known as First Nations Legal & Research Services).

Lauren's clients value her agility, customer service focus, and awareness of and sensitivity to the stakeholder environment. In particular, they appreciate her attention to detail, focus on efficiency, clarity, responsiveness and sound risk assessment. Lauren provides strategic advice mapping out the most efficient and effective pathways within the context of government processes.

Lauren is an executive committee member of the LIV Government Lawyers section, and the Law Council of Australia's Australian Property Law Group (Victoria) committee.
