We would like to congratulate Georgina Ingleton, Acting Managing Principal Solicitor, Public Law and Planning on being appointed as VGSO's Pro Bono Manager.

VGSO recognises the importance of members of the legal profession providing pro bono legal services to those who need them and has formed strong relationships with Community Legal Centres over the years. Our Pro Bono Manager is responsible for overseeing the program and managing and strengthening our existing pro bono partnerships.

During her professional career, Georgina has consistently demonstrated a strong and ongoing commitment to pro bono work and access to justice initiatives, both through private practice and direct work with community legal organisations. At a previous firm, Georgina completed a 6-month secondment with Inner Melbourne Community Legal (IMCL) and, since joining VGSO, has taken the opportunity to be involved in another IMCL secondment as part of our Pro Bono Program. Earlier in her career, over a 5-year period, Georgina also volunteered as secondee lawyer in Justice Connect's Homeless Law program as part of the Women’s Homelessness Prevention Project. Georgina is well equipped to take on this role and we wish her all the best.

As we congratulate Georgina, we would like to acknowledge outgoing Pro Bono Manager, Stephanie D'Rozario, who has demonstrated passion and commitment in undertaking VGSO's Pro Bono Manager role over the last 4 years. Thank you for your efforts in driving the meaningful work our pro bono partnerships enables.

The opportunity to take on this important role was met with a very positive response and we received a number of excellent EOIs from solicitors across VGSO. Thank you to those who expressed their interest.
