Andrew's practice covers advice and representation to Victorian public sector clients in the following areas of law:

  • employment
  • industrial relations
  • anti-discrimination and equal opportunity
  • occupational health and safety
  • public administration.

Andrew has been involved in a wide range of litigious work in all levels of State and Federal Courts and Tribunals such as unfair dismissal, general protections, underpayment claims, enterprise agreement disputes, discrimination and review of WorkSafe notices.

Andrew is also experienced in advising on all facets of employment and industrial relations matter such as managing underperformance/misconduct, enterprise agreement interpretation or enterprise agreement bargaining. In particular, he has extensive knowledge of unique Victorian public sector employment issues such as executive employment, statutory office holders, machinery of government changes and constitutional limitations on federal employment legislation.

Prior to joining the VGSO, Andrew worked as a paralegal at a boutique law firm. He has also worked at an international professional services firm and a commercial law firm.
