Andrea leads a team of lawyers who assist government clients with the resolution of negligence and personal injury claims involving minors. The team was formed following the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and specialises in guiding clients to sensitively and effectively manage claims regarding those affected by institutional sexual and other abuse, using established protocols with plaintiff law firms, the Model Litigant Guidelines and Common Guiding Principles.

Since joining the VGSO in 2007, Andrea has gained extensive experience representing clients including the Department of Health and Human Services, Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria and the Attorney-General in personal injury claims, civil claims against police officers, applications and reviews under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997, contempt of Court and vexatious litigant applications.

Andrea is experienced in conducting proceedings in the Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates' Court and the Coroner's Court. A primary focus of Andrea's practice is resolving claims through alternative dispute resolution processes.
