Shene is a government lawyer who supports the State in responding to Royal Commissions and Inquiries. Her practice includes advising on powers, privileges, immunities and legal risks arising from Royal Commissions and Inquiries. She also assists on administrative and public law matters.

Since joining the VGSO, Shene has worked on State and Federal Royal Commissions including the Yoorrook Justice Commission and Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. Shene also has experience in a broad range of administrative, regulatory and public law matters.

Shene completed a Juris Doctor at Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Relations) at the University of Western Australia. Shene was a Paralegal at the VGSO, supporting the IPA branch on a variety of matters. Prior to working at the VGSO, Shene worked at a commercial law firm supporting the Knowledge Management team.
