Renae is a solicitor in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Branch at the VGSO. Renae practices in personal injury claims, police civil claims, coronial investigations and reviews under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to Be Tried) Act 1997. Renae's clients include the Department of Health and Human Services, the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, the Attorney General and Victoria Police. Renae joined the VGSO in October 2020, after working at a boutique law firm where she acted for medical indemnity insurers. She handled a wide variety of matters for these clients including civil litigation, disciplinary proceedings and coronial investigations and inquests. Renae has appeared in the County and Supreme Courts, as well as the Coroners Court and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Prior to this, Renae worked at a plaintiff law firm where she managed a range of personal injury claims.
