On 31 May 2022, the VGSO will host a monthly seminar to explore the legal and practice issues of Freedom of Information (FOI) in a government environment. We will explore the current issues and provide insight into recent matters that are impacting lawyers practising in government.


Topics covered will include:

  • Intersection of FOI and the proactive release of information.
  • Dealing with repeated and voluminous FOI requests.
  • Recent FOI issues.

Alanna Mitchell, Assistant Victorian Government Solicitor, and Nidal Sayegh, Lead Counsel, from VGSO will provide key insights in FOI for government lawyers. 
 
Attendees may be eligible to claim 1 CPD Unit in Substantive Law.
