The trajectory of the quantum of civil claims (personal injury claims)

During this seminar, our esteemed panel will explore the current and changing landscape of the quantum of civil claims from the perspective of the government insurer (VMIA), Crown Counsel and the solicitors managing a range of civil claims. 

We will focus on the relevant statutory framework, explore the evolution of the nature and quantum (including damages and legal costs) of personal injury claims and then provide an overview of some significant recent Victorian cases.

The seminar will conclude by providing you with some practical tips as to how you (as insureds) can minimise your exposure and the steps we can all take to proactively manage the quantum of civil claims.
