Swati is working with the Royal Commission branch of the VGSO where she concurrently works on the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System, the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the Royal Commission into Management of Police Informers. Her practice includes providing strategic advice on issues of public interest immunity and the scope of the powers and privileges of state and federal Commissions, instructing at Commissions and preparing state witnesses to give evidence before Commissions. Swati has experience working across a variety of jurisdictions both within Australia and Internationally while working as a lawyer and paralegal. She has deep analytical skills that enhance her legal skills in reviewing and assessing relevancy of documentation and evidence in the development of witness statements and case preparation.

Prior to working at VGSO, Swati worked in a variety of general practice law firms in Queensland and London having carriage of files, instructed in court and assisting in the preparation of litigious matters in a range of disputes including commercial, financial, family (including drafting affidavits, submissions, statements, assisting subject matter experts). Swati also has drafted a vast aray of commercial and residential contracts and wills. She has been involved in the document review and litigation process of a large-scale financial services dispute, and fulfilling and facilitating the discovery process of an Energy and Resources projects disputes.

Swati also has experience and appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, Children's Court Brisbane, Family Court, District Court and the Supreme Court of Queensland.
