Current practice

Benjamin practices primarily in commercial law with a focus on contractual preparation, negotiation, interpretation and advice as well as intellectual property (IP) and funding. Benjamin also has advocacy experience having practiced in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.


While at the VGSO, Benjamin has drafted and advised on funding agreements for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and provided advice on a range of commercial issues for various agencies including Ambulance Victoria and Infringement Management and Enforcement Services.

Prior to joining the VGSO, Benjamin worked at a mid-tier commercial firm acting on behalf of multinational clients and liquidators, including high-profile litigation matters involving publically listed construction companies. Benjamin has also advised corporate clients on intellectual property matters including establishing and maintaining IP portfolios, drafting and advising on IP licencing agreements as well as disputes involving breach and infringement of IP rights.  

Benjamin has also worked in-house specialising in business sales and acquisitions as well as corporate advisory and governance.
