Current practice

Andrew's practice focuses on dispute resolution, particularly major disputes and inquiries.  He is an experienced litigator who enjoys resolving disputes for government.
Andrew manages the VGSO's pro-bono partnership with the Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre and volunteers at the Fitzroy Legal Centre.


Andrew deals with a broad range of litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes and government inquiries.  He has acted in a number of high profile cases which often involved mediating multiple client interests, including:
  • Grevillea Judicial Review proceedings;
  • Intralot lottery licence claims;
  • Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission;
  • Hazelwood Mine Fire Board of Inquiry (1 and 2);
  • Tattersall's Pty Ltd and Tabcorp Holdings Pty Ltd gaming licence claims;
  • Channel Deepening and desalination plant environmental challenges; and
  • Class action in relation to abalone virus outbreak.
Andrew has an Executive Masters in Public Administration and before working at the VGSO he gained experience in private practice in Melbourne and the UK.
