Why our Legal Assistants enjoy working at VGSO

"My role allows me to work extensively on legal files, perform a range of interesting and challenging tasks, carry out training and manage a small team.  I value the flexibility, friendly staff, mentorship from solicitors and the enjoyment of working autonomously and within a great team."

Penelope Grima (Senior Legal Assistant, Litigation & Dispute Resolution).

"In July 2010 I began working at the VGSO and one of the most notable differences between VGSO and other organisations are the various learning opportunities available to all staff.  I found the IT training I received extremely beneficial and as well as the initial two week induction training, there are many up-skilling computer sessions available on a monthly basis.

I like the structured six monthly appraisal process.  It has helped me to grow professionally and given me a focus on a career goal.  I have been fortunate enough to receive an opportunity to be trained in conveyancing supported by the VGSO both inhouse through the Senior Conveyancing Officer and externally through Leo Cussens Institute.

I have found a work life balance is easily achieved and maintained.  There is a real team environment and I enjoy the many social activities throughout the year and other benefits such as the Health and Well Being Program.  I find the office is a fun and friendly environment and no matter what branch you're in, there is never a dull day!"
Tiffany Humphries (Legal Assistant, Commercial, Property & Technology).
