The Workplace Relations and Occupational Safety Branch of the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office invites you to a live webinar on Tuesday 30 March 2021 at 1.00pm to discuss some of the key employment/OHS law developments and decisions in 2020/2021 and the practical implications for the Victorian Public Sector.

For many of us, the world of work underwent a dramatic transformation in 2020 as we moved at speed and scale from the office to our homes, and engaged in what Time Magazine has called 'the world's largest work-from-home experiment'.

Now as 2021 is well underway, we can already see that a number of challenges and opportunities lie ahead as we transition back into the office, possibly with a hybrid office/WFH model.

This webinar is of relevance to every employee in the Victorian Public Sector, and we look forward to welcoming you as we reflect on the extraordinary year that 2020 was, and discuss what you need to know for 2021.

Topics:

  • General overview of key trends and developments in 2020/2021
  • The COVID catalyst - learnings from 2020
  • The hybrid workplace in 2021 - key issues from an employment and OHS perspective
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations - relevant factors
  • Important employment decisions in 2020/2021

We will conclude with some comments on the new Ministerial Taskforce on Workplace Sexual Harassment and the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic) which comes into operation on 31 March 2021.  We will also be discussing this legislation in more detail with an expert panel at a webinar in April 2021.

Attendees may be eligible to claim 1 CPD Unit in Practice management and business skills.
