Julia has a broad practice in regulatory and administrative law, assisting Government Departments and Victorian Public Sector clients with legal advice and litigation services in the areas of prosecutions, investigations, disciplinary proceedings, as well as judicial and merits review.
Julia assists with the prosecution of summary and indictable offences. She also provides advice and litigation services on a wide range of matters, including administrative law, statutory interpretation and freedom of information.
Prior to joining the VGSO, Julia worked as an Associate in the Commercial Division of the County Court. As an Associate, Julia assisted the Judicial Registrars with case management of proceedings and legal research and drafting with a focus on civil procedure. She has also worked in the Registry of the County Court as a deputy registrar and senior deputy registrar with a focus on case management.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Julia worked in a number of roles at an organisational psychology practice, namely as the financial controller and a special projects coordinator. In these roles Julia assisted with the drafting of responses to requests for tender and coordinated the delivery of professional development programs to mainly government departments and agencies. The programs Julia coordinated focused on emergency management and vicarious trauma.
