Joshua has a diverse litigation and dispute resolution practice, advising and representing government clients including Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Attorney-General's Office. He has worked on police civil claims, personal injury claims and applications and reviews under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997. Joshua joined the VGSO in August 2020, after working as a Legal Adviser at the Office of the General Counsel in the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet. In Joshua's previous role, he provided legal advice and strategic legal policy advice to the offices of the Premier and other Ministers, the Secretary of the Department and other parts of the Department. Joshua practised primarily in the areas of public and administrative law, while also advising on commercial transactions and employment law. Joshua holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the University of Melbourne.
