Jessica primarily acts for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, with her practice focusing on personal injury claims by former wards of the State (non-litigated and litigated). She also acts for the Attorney-General in Crimes (Mental Impairment) matters and the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Corrections matters.

Jessica has civil litigation experience in the Supreme and County Court and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Jessica joined the VGSO Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in January 2020. Prior to this, she participated in the Victorian Government Graduate Recruitment and Development Scheme where she rotated across the Department of Justice and Community Safety, the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions and the Department of Education and Training in policy, legal services and project management roles. This afforded her exposure to Whole of Victorian Government practices,
drafting of bills and the passage of legislation processes and stakeholder/project management skills.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Jessica worked at Monash University researching global drug policy and crime governance. Her Honours' thesis and coursework results placed her at the top of her cohort in 2018 and she was awarded the Best Thesis Prize at an Honours/Masters level from the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology. As a published author, Jessica has also presented at conferences and before local organisations.
