Devin is a solicitor in the Commercial and Native Title Team. Devin's practice focuses on advisory and dispute services in the areas of native title, Aboriginal cultural heritage and Crown land. Devin also advises on issues of public sector governance and integrity and on commercial projects. Devin joined the VGSO as a graduate in 2019, and gained broad experience in a range of litigious, advisory and transactional matters. His experience as a graduate includes working on an ongoing Royal Commission, assisting to develop and draft a major piece of transport legislation, providing advice on native title law, statutory interpretation, commercial law and constitutional law, and working on planning, administrative, civil and criminal law disputes.
Before joining the VGSO, Devin worked at a start-up service provider, where he gained experience drafting commercial contracts and preparing commercial advice. He has also worked as a paralegal at a leading commercial law firm in its employment practice and volunteered with a death penalty defence law firm.
Devin has a Bachelor of Arts and completed majors in Politics and Literary Studies. He is also the director of a charity.
